Born in Singapore, 1953


Kit graduated from Nanyang University (1976), Institute of Education (1977) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (1987). Known for her exquisite brushwork and immaculate attention to details. Her paintings are richly coloured and full of symbols and objects with great personal meaning. The objects, whether of humans or of patterns and things are brilliantly executed.

She held 3 solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions across the regions, such as Sovereign Asian Art Prize Exhibition in Hong Kong (2010); Sovereign Asian Art Charity Auction in Hong Kong and Singapore (2010); Singapore Art Show (2007); Art Cologne, Germany (2006); Asian International Art Exhibition (2002, 2001); Singapore Japan Art Exchange Exhibition, Japan (2002); ASEAN Art Awards Exhibition, Brunei, Malaysia (1998); ASEAN Art Awards Exhibition, Philippines (1997); and President’s Charity Art Exhibition (1997).

She received Grand-Prize winner of the UOB Competition (1997 and 2004), Singapore Turf Club Art Competition, MRT Art Competition, Singapore Telecom “Expression in Art” and “SAF Defence Art” Competition. She was a finalist in Sovereign Asian Art Prize (2010), First Prize (Representational) in Dr Tan Tsze Chor Art Awards (1998) and The Juror’s Choice in Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards (1997).
